Status: Service Restored
User Impact: Users were experiencing intermittent failures when accessing some Microsoft 365 services, including:
– Launching Single Sign on (SSO) applications from My Apps.
– Registering for multifactor authentication.
– Cocky-service password reset.
– Performing cocky-service management of groups.
– Accepting terms of use agreements.
Current Status: Microsoft determined a contempo routing configuration change acquired an inadvertent impact to service. Microsoft has reverted the change and confirmed that services should are now operating within expected thresholds.

What:Microsoft has released guidance on how to resolve their critical Print Spooler service vulnerability and ITS is working to deploy and test the solution.
How does this bear upon you?
If the remediation work is successful, all print functionality will be bachelor past Th, July xv, 2021. Until then, print functionality will remain disabled, including the features listed below:
- Printing to pdf, xps document writer
- Mobility Print from mobile devices
- Printing to FindMe printers and all other PaperCut managed printers
- Printing to individual printers at the College

What:ITS will be disabling all printing services immediately, including individual printers, beyond all three campuses
Delight be advised that Microsoft has yet to release a secure patch for their disquisitional Print Spooler service vulnerability and as a consequence, all press services proceed to be suspended. In addition, the Canadian Centre for Cyber Security has encouraged institutions to suspend printing services on all computers. Therefore, ITS volition be disabling printing services on all College-owned computers.
How does this impact yous?
During this service disruption, employees and learners will no longer be able to admission the print functionality on their College-owned computers (laptops, desktops), either while working on any Higher campus, or remotely from home. The features listed below will no longer be available, and will remain unavailable until such time that a secure patch has been released and applied at the College:
- Printing to pdf, xps document author

Please be advised that employees and learners will not be able to use any printers (ie: desktop or papercut) while at the Higher. Due to a critical Microsoft vulnerability, ITS will be disabling all press services immediately, including individual printers, across all three campuses.

Microsoft has announced it is ending support for Skype for Business organization in the coming months, therefore just Microsoft Teams will be available equally ofMay 24, 2021.Please note there will be no interruption to Teams services.
What to expect:
Skype For Business:

What:Single Sign-On (SSO) for Adobe Creative Cloud

ITS is very pleased to denote that we take configured Single Sign-On (SSO) for Adobe CC (Artistic Cloud) using Federated Adobe Business relationship ID and Azure.
Key benefits of Adobe CC Unmarried Sign-On
- Adobe Creative Cloud applications are complimentary to all active kinesthesia and staff members and as well BYOD Students.
- Single Sign-On enables utilizing the same countersign to access diverse systems/applications within the College. Thus, access to your account is easier, faster and more than secure.

Adobe Creative Cloud Users (Employees and Learners) will be impacted.Please annotation this will non have any impact on Employee Adobe Sign Accounts.
What y'all need to know?
During the week of April 26th, 2021, you will receive several emails from Adobe. One electronic mail volition indicate that you no longer have a license, and another electronic mail will indicate that a license has been assigned to you lot. This is an expected part of the process for migrating your account to a single sign-on. You may receive several of these emails depending on how many Adobe products you are licensed for.
In any i of the emails stating that a license has been assigned to you, click on the "Get Started" link and follow these few steps to log in:
Click on the link "Become Started" included in your email
SelectCompany or Schoolhouse Account
Select: "Yeah, I want Adobe to migrate my content." and click on Keep to begin the migration process.

Cisco Telephony Upgrade

A migration to SharePoint Online from the aging SharePoint 2010 platform volition be done in stages starting this month to help bring your stored content into the cloud and have reward of the latest collaboration, intelligence, and security solutions inside Office 365.
How does this bear on you?
This migration poses no adventure to your documents currently stored in SharePoint 2010. Algonquin College'due south Information Engineering Services (ITS) team will commence the migration in a seamless fashion that will not impact current operations. Employees using SharePoint Online and Microsoft Teams will be able to manage their content in a manner that lends itself to better collaboration. Everyone currently using SharePoint 2010 is encouraged to review their current stored files, and where appropriate complete a housecleaning of out-of-appointment fabric that does not need to be migrated to SharePoint Online and Microsoft Teams.

When: Starting on May 21, 2020
As part of ongoing efforts to protect College computers, Symantec Endpoint Protection will exist remotely deployed to all devices running Microsoft Windows and Mac OS start May 21, 2020. Additionally, ESET Antivirus will be retired from service.
For computers currently located at all campuses (including lab computers), the new Antivirus software will automatically be installed if they are connected to the network.
For Colleagues working from dwelling, the software will be installed when your computers are connected to the College via Virtual Individual Network (VPN). Delight note that due to the volume of installations, your update may not occur correct away.
When the new Antivirus software has been installed, the current ESET Antivirus icon will exist replaced with the Symantec Endpoint Protection one. No further activity is required on your part.
